Amplus solar acquires rooftop projects from Sterling and Wilson

Amplus Solar, a leading distributed solar energy firm, on Tuesday said it has acquired 17 on-site operational rooftop solar projects from Sterling and Wilson with a total capacity of 7.2 megawatt (MW).

According to the press release, the projects are spread over Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Telangana and Karnataka.

“The addition of these assets to our portfolio furthers our commitment to promote the growth of renewable energy in India… We remain open to acquisition of assets..,” said Sanjeev Aggarwal, chief executive officer and managing director, Amplus Solar.

Gurugram-headquartered Amplus Solar has a portfolio of over 800 MW of distributed solar assets and is a member of Malaysia’s PETRONAS Group. It recently entered the residential solar segment and is diversifying into battery storage, energy efficiency and electric mobility.
