The Energy Conservation Week organised by Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) with the support of Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) concluded on Friday.
Architect Ramneek gave the opening remarks. Amritsar-based architect Guneet Khurana presented a welcome address. Surinder Bahga, Architect, Saakaar Foundation spoke about the necessity to follow our religious scriptures and work to save the mother earth.
Architect Glory who is an expert on energy emphasized that sustainable buildings lead to reduction in carbon footprint. Green buildings are the need of the hour to save the environment.
Kanagaraj Ganesan gave a talk on how to design buildings to make them energy-efficient and climate-responsive. Vevaik Mahajan an energy expert from New Delhi spoke on ways and means to save energy in air-conditioning.
The webinar on the last day was planned for the Punjab Mandi Board, Punjab Health Systems Corporation and other departments.
