India Revival Mission: Labourers are the backbone of Indian economy, says Dharmendra Pradhan

On the India Revival Mission series, while speaking about the economic stimulus package of Rs 20 lakh crore, which was announced on Wednesday (May 12) by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas said that “we are focusing on farmers.”

He further said that the government had previously, announced an economic relief package worth Rs 1.70 lakh crore for poor families and small businesses in the country, providing a much-needed financial shield against the coronavirus pandemic. And, now in the second round, the government has been focusing on migrant labourers, street vendors, and, especially farmers.

Pradhan while talking about the recent hike in excise duty charged on fuel, said that “Fuel prices for the aam aadmi will be rolled out depending upon how global prices pan out.”
