Experts belonging to the water indutry would join a single platform on Thursday to discuss ways to address Non Revenue Water (NRW) — a crucial issue that significantly impacts the domestic and global water supply and distribution systems. The discussion would focus on a technology roadmap for NRW and chalk out a blueprint for the growth of the sector.
The platform — India Smart WaterTech Series — is a joint digital initiative of ETEnergyworld and Sensus, a Xylem brand. The second of the three part series of Webinars would go live on Thursday.
The first Webinar in the series focussed on the topic “Drinking Water Supply & Distribution” and was launched on 22 September, kicking off the three part series with a speech by the Chief Guest, U P Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Jal Shakti.
The second webinar on NRW Thursday aims at discussing and exploring how recent technology advancements can accelerate asset management, distribution-side management of leakage and other forms of non-revenue water. Speakers will deliberate on some of the most pressing issues facing the water sector.
The topics that will be covered in the talk include understanding the problem of NRW and water loss; smart water solutions to meet urban local bodies’ priorities; asset management, monitoring and leakage prevention; and smart technologies being adopted worldwide to cut down NRW.
