Indian Railways solarises 960 railway stations, moves closer to become Net Zero Carbon Emission Railway by 2030

The Union Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal on Monday (August 31, 2020) said that the Indian Railways has so far solarised 960 Railway Stations and has moved closer to become a Net Zero Carbon Emission Railway by 2030.

“In order to achieve its objective of becoming 100% self-sustainable for all it’s power needs and also to contribute to national solar power goals, Indian Railways has solarised more than 960 stations till date,” said the Ministry of Railways.
