MNRE extends all deadlines for One Sun One World One Grid plan

The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) on Thursday extended the deadline for various activities under its recently proposed One Sun One World One Grid (OSOWOG) plan due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“In view of the prevailing situation and lockdown in many parts of the country due to COVID-19 pandemic and as requested by many consulting firms, it has been decided to extend the timeline of each activity of the request for proposal,” the ministry said.

The deadline for the pre-bid meeting has been extended till 22 June, 2020. Earlier, the deadline was 5 June, 2020. The date for the submission of proposals has also been extended till 22 July, 2020, from its earlier deadline of 6 July, 2020.

The date for submission of questions has been extended till 29 June, 2020, from its earlier deadline of 15 June, 2020. On response to vendors’ requests for clarification, it said the responses would be provided on a rolling basis with the last response provided no later than 13 July, 2020. Earlier date for response submission was 29 June, 2020.

According to the request for proposal floated by the MNRE last month, through this, India envisages to have an inter-connected power transmission grid across nations for the supply of clean energy.
