Mumbai: Western Railways workshop makes over 1,000 PPEs for frontline health workers

Workers at the Western Railways’ Lower Parel workshop have tirelessly manufactured more than 1,000 high-quality PPE coveralls with shoe covers for the medical team working round the clock at Jagjivan Ram Hospital.

Doctors and healthcare workers are our frontline warriors in this fight against the Covid-19 and to fight this battle effectively, Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) have become most essential.

In view of the large requirement of PPEs at Railway hospitals, Indian Railways workshops and production units have been put to the task to manufacture PPEs for medical personnel.

Follwing suit, a Western Railways workshop in Lower Parel has put its best foot forward by making more than 1,050 PPE coveralls so far. Along with coveralls, the workshop has made shoe covers for the medical fraternity of WR’s Jagjivan Ram Hospital situated at Mumbai Central, which is treating many Covid-19 patients.
