The reverse auction for 1.2 gigawatt (GW) interstate transmission system (ISTS) solar tender conducted by NTPC on Thursday saw Gurugram-based O2 Power, Azure Power, and Tata Power emerging as winners with an aggressive tariff of Rs 2.43 per kilowatt hour (kWh).
The developers — O2, Azure, and Tata — secured project capacities of 400 megawatt (MW), 300 MW, and 370 MW, respectively, at a winning tariff of Rs 2.43 per kWh, according to JMK Research. Whereas, Amp Energy won 100 MW at a tariff of Rs 2.44 per kWh.
The tender has a minimum capacity utilisation factor condition of 19 per cent and a commissioning timeline of 24 months. In July, the tender had received bids of about 1.7 GW of capacity.
