Panchkula power discom all set for monsoon, claims to have enough transformers

Along with the peak summer season, the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN), Panchkula, is all set for the monsoon season as they claim to have sufficient transformers. The officials of the UHBVN said they have also pruned trees with the help of the horticulture department.

Officials of the UHBVN said they have also started the process of line strengthening and routine maintenance of transformers. A special team checks the load of electricity on routine basis and makes hassle-free supply of electricity to consumers.

The executive engineer (XEN) of the UHBVN, Sanjeev Siwach, said they have sufficient staff to tackle any kind of problem.

There are around 250 transformers in Panchkula area and the UHBVN has sufficient transformers to replace in case there is any fault.

Siwach said the UHBVN has six trolleys, which they use for changing the transformers within a maximum of one hour if there is a major fault.
