The state-run oil marketing companies slashed the prices of petrol and diesel by 15-24 paise across the metros on September 15, i.e. Tuesday. In Delhi, the prices of petrol were slashed to ₹ 81.55 from ₹ 81.72 per litre and diesel rates were cut to ₹ 72.56 from ₹ 72.78 per litre, according to notifications by the state-run Indian Oil Corporation, the country’s largest fuel retailer. In Mumbai, the prices of petrol were reduced to ₹ 88.21 from ₹ 88.38 per litre and diesel prices were lowered to ₹ 79.05 from ₹ 79.29 per litre.
