The Railway Energy Management Company (REMCL) is going to announce the results for four solar tenders of 1,365 megawatt (MW) capacity over the next two months, its chief executive officer, Ajay Kumar Singhal, told ETEnergyWorld.
“After getting feedback from our earlier tenders, four fresh tenders have been invited for about 1,365 MW capacity so far in the financial year 2021-2022 (FY22) and are due to open during September and October 2021,” he said.
The company has also tweaked tender conditions to make the deals more attractive for developers.
“We have modified the conditions of the tender document to make them more acceptable and better aligned to industry and have also packaged the land parcels to make them more attractive for the developers,” he added.
REMCL is a joint venture of the Indian Railways and its engineering consultancy for transport infrastructure, RITES.
He also informed that the company has received four offers for its 15-MW ground-mounted solar power pilot project with 7 MW storage capacity.
