The ‘Sameer app’ of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has become a good tool for residents in the city to fight against those who were spreading pollution in ‘Textile City’.

Following the complaints on the app, the Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) has recommended closure notices to three industries on Kabri road for violating emission norms. Besides, it has also issued show-cause notice to two industries for violating emission norms on Kutani road.

City residents have begun raising their voice against the air and water pollution in the city and uploaded their complaints against the violators on the app of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

Some residents have uploaded complaints against industries on Kabri road and Jatal road for spreading air, water and noise pollution with photos and videos also.

The monitoring authority, CPCB, forwarded these complaints to the authorities concerned, including Municipal Corporation Panipat (MCP), to check garbage burning and also forwarded complaints to HSPCB about pollution by industry.

Following the complaints, the HSPCB officers visited the spot and also took samples of the effluent discharged by the industries. The HSPCB officers recommended closure of three industries on Kabri road while it also served show-cause notices to two industries on Kutani road.
